We work on garage doors in Wenatchee and the close-in area - East Wenatchee two miles off, South Wenatchee and Sunnyslope a few miles out. Most of the houses we get called to were built between 1944 and 1993, with the bulk going up in the 1960s and 70s across seven older parts of town. That matters because those decades used different spring sizing, different track widths, and different opener mounting than what shows up in a big-box kit today. A door that looks fine from the driveway can be running on a torsion spring rated for a lighter panel than the one now hanging on it, because somebody swapped the door out in the 90s and kept the old hardware.
We do springs, cables, rollers, tracks, openers, and panel sections. We also look at the whole assembly when something breaks, because on a house this old the failure is rarely just the part that snapped - it's usually the part next to it wearing out at the same rate.
Winters here sit in the cold-moderate band, not the deep-freeze extreme, but cold enough that steel hardware contracts, grease stiffens, and a marginal spring finally lets go on a January morning. That's the call we get most.
What We Will Not Do
We won't tell you a repair is impossible when it isn't, and we won't sell you a full door replacement when a spring and a set of rollers will get you another decade out of it. On the other hand, if your door is original to a house built in the 1960s or 70s and the track is bent, the drum is worn, and the panel is dented, replacing the springs alone is a waste of your money - we'll say so.
We don't stock every panel style ever made. Parts for some of the older one-piece doors still around from that 1944-1993 building era can take longer to source than a same-day repair, and we'd rather tell you that up front than promise a truck roll we can't back up.
We don't do work outside garage doors and openers - no general handyman jobs, no roofing, no siding. And we don't guess at pricing over the phone for anything beyond a basic service call; a bent track or a burned-out opener board needs eyes on it first.
