Plain Answers
A garage door quote is only as good as the details behind it. Tell us the door's size (single or double), roughly how old it is, and what it's doing - won't open, opens crooked, makes a bang when it drops, opener runs but the door doesn't move. That's usually enough for us to guess at the cause, but not enough to give you a firm number.
Most homes we quote in Wenatchee were built between 1944 and 1993, with the median landing around 1977, so a lot of doors we see still run original torsion springs sized for hardware nobody stocks new anymore. That matters for pricing because a spring swap on a 1970s door with side-mount torsion hardware can run different than a same-size job on a newer door with a standard center shaft. We won't know which one you've got until we look.
Photos help. A shot of the springs, the track, and the opener unit lets us narrow things down before a truck ever leaves the shop. If you can send a photo when you call, do it - it saves you a wasted trip if the fix turns out to be something we can talk you through instead.
What We Will Not Do
We will not give you a firm dollar figure for a broken spring, a bent track, or a dead opener over the phone. Springs alone come in enough sizes and wind directions that guessing wrong means showing up with the wrong part and rescheduling - that costs you more time than waiting for an accurate number.
We will not quote a full door replacement without seeing the opening. Rough framing, header clearance, and what's already mounted on the wall all change what fits and what it costs to put in. A number based on a phone description is a guess dressed up as a quote, and we'd rather tell you that up front than hand you one.
We also will not push a full replacement on a door that just needs a repair. If tightening hardware, replacing a roller, or swapping a section fixes the problem, that's what we'll price. The honest limitation here: on doors from the older end of our area's housing stock - built well before 1993 - sometimes the frame or track is worn enough that repair costs approach replacement, and we'll tell you that plainly instead of stringing repairs together.

What Happens After You Call
Call (509) 357-4986 and you'll talk through the symptoms with someone who knows the parts, not a script. We'll ask what the door is doing, how old it is if you know, and whether it's a single or double. From there we set a time to come look at it in person.
On site, the tech checks the door, the springs, the track, and the opener, and gives you a price before doing any work - not after. If the fix is more than we can do same-visit, or if parts need ordering, you'll hear that too, along with what it'll run.
We quote jobs from Wenatchee out to East Wenatchee, South Wenatchee, Sunnyslope, Cashmere, Entiat, Waterville, and Leavenworth. Winters here sit in a cold moderate band, and that swing in temperature is what cracks weatherstripping and stiffens springs enough to throw off a phone estimate - another reason we price on site rather than guess. Straight answers about garage door repair in Wenatchee. Still unsure? Ask us directly.
Why is my garage door spring breaking after so many years without trouble?
Torsion springs are rated for a set number of cycles, usually somewhere around 10,000, and a door that's original to a 1960s or 70s house has been through all of them and then some. Cold-moderate winters add extra strain because steel stiffens in the cold, so a spring that's been marginal often fails in the colder months rather than mid-summer.
Can you get parts for an original 1960s garage door?
Sometimes, and sometimes not directly. A lot of hardware from that era, especially track width and drum sizing, doesn't match what's stocked today. We can usually adapt or source an equivalent, but it may mean a longer wait than a same-day fix on a newer door, and it's worth knowing that going in.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace an old garage door?
If the track and frame are still square and the panel isn't rusted through, repair is almost always the cheaper route and it's what we recommend most. Replacement makes sense once the hardware is obsolete enough that every future call turns into a parts hunt, or the door itself is physically damaged.
Do you work outside Wenatchee itself?
Yes. We cover East Wenatchee, South Wenatchee, Sunnyslope, Cashmere, and go as far as Entiat, Waterville, and Leavenworth. Drive time changes with distance, so it helps to mention your location when you call so we can give you an honest window instead of a guess.
